Group therapy is not only deeply transformative, but also affordable. At $60 per 75-minute session, it provides expert support, real connection and meaningful growth—at a fraction of the cost of individual therapy. FAQ’S: Your Questions Answered
-
If you’re feeling anxious, stuck in unhealthy patterns, burned out or struggling with self-doubt, therapy can help. Our clients are high-functioning, insightful women who are outwardly doing well but inwardly struggling with low self-esteem, overthinking or relationship anxiety.
You don’t have to have a crisis to benefit from therapy—if something doesn’t feel quite right, that’s reason enough to reach out.
A healthy therapy relationship should feel safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental. You should feel like your therapist really listens to you, gets what you're saying (even the parts you struggle to express) and respects your pace.
Over time, you should feel more empowered, more self-aware and more able to navigate your life with clarity and a sense of hope.
-
The first session is a chance to get to know your therapist and talk about what’s bringing you in. You don’t have to prepare anything or explain everything all at once—we’ll move at your pace.
We’ll ask questions to understand what’s going on and begin to outline what therapy might look like for you. Most clients tell us they feel a sense of relief after having just that first conversation.

We’ve chosen to remain out-of-network with insurance providers so that we can offer the highest level of care, without the limitations and restrictions often imposed by insurance companies.
In-network coverage often requires a mental health diagnosis, limits the number of sessions, and may not allow for the depth or flexibility that long-term, insight-oriented work often requires.
By working privately, we’re able to tailor treatment to your unique needs—not to a checklist. Your therapy remains truly confidential, without oversight from a third-party payer, and you and your therapist can determine the pace, duration, and focus of your work together.
This approach allows us to offer a higher quality, more personalized experience—one that prioritizes your growth, not a system’s paperwork.
-
Yes. Some women come to us with a specific issue—like a breakup, dating decision or a spike in anxiety—and want focused support in the short term.
Others are seeking deeper, longer-term growth to understand patterns that show up in relationships, self-esteem or anxiety. We tailor therapy to your needs, whether you're looking for immediate tools or meaningful, lasting change.
-
The right therapist for you will help you feel safe, understood and supported—without judgment. It might take a few sessions to settle in, but you should feel a sense of connection and like your therapist “gets” you.
At the Women’s Counseling Center of Denver, we take extra care during your initial consultation to match you with someone whose style, experience and personality align with what you’re looking for. And if it’s not quite the right fit, we’ll work with you to make sure you find someone who is.
